Taking the kid to the local republican watch party. He asked us to take him.
Fwiw, he's a 13 y/o eagle scout

So many folks there were glad to see a young person interested in politics. He talked with a lady who was a national deligate for Trump for a long time and she kept telling him, "we need young people like you!"
But I think his highlight of the night for him was meeting Rep. Burgess Owens. They got their picture taken together and let the kid wear his superbowl ring.

The numbers in Wisconsin was a good indication of parenting done right. Trump won the first time voter vote and was dead even on the under 30 vote.

My 12 year old son stayed up as long as he could to watch this. I was hands off about politics with my daughter and that was a mistake. She’s now a stereotypical 18 year old and voted for whatever social media told her.
I’m not doing that with my son. He’s MAGA as shite.

Yeah my two stayed up with me as long as they could hang. I couldn't believe they were in there watching with me for so long.

Mine too. He has a big math test today and hung in as long as he could (10pm here, just after midnight on the east coast). They hadn't called penn yet, but ot was looking good. Our guy is a math and history nerd an had out his white board and computer keeping track of each state as it was called.

That’s awesome!
He was giving us the play by play, min by min. "Michigan is red again. 58% of the vote!" Lol.

He just woke up and asked me who won. I told him to go check his computer, and not to wake up his mom.

He's in the great room updating his board with the final tallies from each state.

My 11 year old got an impromptu civics lesson night before last. She was excited to learn the results this morning when she woke up. I'm doing my best.

I learned that lesson the hard way with my now 23 year old stepdaughter. Never again.
