And it's not really even about electing him, but getting to the 5% threshold so that the party doesn't have to waste significant time and resources to get on all 50 ballots next time. But Trumpkins are all convinced all that either the world ends or the good ol' USA of old will be restored forever after today.

Washington goes on and acknowledges the fact that parties are sometimes beneficial in promoting liberty in monarchies, but argues that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms amongst the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country
Do you think Washington had a time machine as well? How else would he know about Clinton's private server?

Lol at people who think voting Gary Johnson is any way contributing to making 3rd parties viable in this country. You are actually doing the opposite and solidifying the existing power structure if nothing else.
you're going to have to explain this logic

Paul wanted to close the borders. Trump is going to build a God damned wall. Deregulation of business?? Lowering taxes? Shrinking the national government? StAte sovereignty with numerous issues?? Against mandatory vaccines? Are you kidding me?
You are not liberterians. You are intellectual elitist nonconformists.

Hell I'd probably vote for you

I definitely vote for you over Gary Johnson

He's the only honest, decent person running for the office. There is no lesser evil among the 2 major party candidates - they're an embarrassment. We should all be embarrassed by the fact that the world's greatest super power with a population of 350MM produced these two people as the main candidates to run the show. This could represent the nadir of our current political system - definitely of one of the parties.

I'm in. Voting for the only fiscal conservative in this election.

The only idiots are those who cave on their values and vote for someone they know is unfit to be president just to avoid having someone else as their president that they see more unfit.

Congrats on a wasted vote.
Trump or Hillary win by a couple percentage points, and Gary gets 5% would be anything but a wasted vote.

Gary couldn't even muster 1% in 2012

Posted on 11/8/16 at 8:28 am to AggieDub14
We don't need a 3rd party.. that's why we have primaries. Americans voted for who they wanted to represent them. It was a long drawn out process with mutiple candidates. Sorry your candidate didn't win.

I will gladly be an intellectual elitist nonconformist rather than a party sheep dumbass.

This conversation has been had a thousand times. Unless you change the fundamental structure of how American elections operate, you are never going to have a sustainable 3rd party. It's really that simple.
And Libertarian utopian ideas, which is what they are as far as I am concerned, are only further removed from ever becoming a reality by the further and further surge of population dependency on the government and the continuous flow of more and more 3rd world workers who have no cultural ties to concepts of individual liberty. So protest votes that only serve to ensure the victory of Hillary's, Obama's, and future Bernie's don't represent a rational strategy for political viability.
Trump's candidacy, regardless of what you think about his character, actually provides the possibility for fundamentally altering the platform of a major political party. That's the more rational course for achieving meaningful political change from the orthodoxy in my opinion.

We all know it's because they aren't that smart. Smart people will always be at the mercy of a well organized brigade of idiots. It's why we can't have anything nice.

Lol but Johnson is a retard.
