My first direct sign that this thing was in play (as an election judge)

I have posted in a couple of threads that I was an election judge yesterday for my precinct. I sent out a couple of updates during the day yesterday that turnout was heavy, but that was about all I discussed.
My job was to hand the actual ballot to the voter and I watched to make sure the ballot scanner total matched the number of receipts I collected from them after their registration was confirmed.
After we closed the station, we printed off the results from the ballot scanner. I had no idea how early/absentee balloting went, but the results we got last night were eye-opening.
(I live near the University here, and students and professors abound.)
In 2012, Romney got 22.7% of the precinct total. Trump got 26.1% of the walk-in yesterday. Up, but not big.
Obama, though, 73.7% of the precinct total in 2012. Yesterday, Clinton got 61.0% of the walk-in.
It told me that Trump was likely to do slightly better than Romney, but Clinton was going to do significantly worse than Obama.
I went straight to the pizza place my boys work at and my friend owns. He wouldn't even show the coverage on the TV's because too many customers would complain. We all gathered around my computer and bounced around the web to watch the thing unfold with quiet astonishment.
A very good night.
(And, for those of you that harped yesterday that I was violating some MN state election law you have no idea about, I posted the exact same info the local news was getting at the same time, and there was no instruction given that I couldn't.)
