Already making excuses for President Trump. This is surreal.
The historical S&P PE avg is about 15.
Currently the S&P PE is ~25.
A return to 'average' would result in the S&P crashing from it's current 2163 down to 1297. Translated to the Dow, the drop would beabout 7500 points, from 18,590 to ~11,100. In the very poor growth environment of obamanomics, such a drop would be nearly inevitability. So no, not an "excuse".
