Yeah I was worried about an achilles when I saw the way he was walking. So this is good news but hopefully he’s able to fully heal when he gets back

Eh I don’t really see the Achilles as a big risk with an injured calf. The Achilles is usually an issue when too much plantarflexion force is produced in too little time. That can cause the Achilles to snap/pop. If the calf is weak, I don’t see how that increases the risk of an Achilles injury

Good news is that singing him is a week to week deal. We are passed week one so you only pay if they stay.

Chiefs C Austin Reiter has 3 straight seasons with a PFF grade of at least 77.5. To put that in perspective, Ram had a 81 last year.

My only calf strain happened at 62 years old. Serious injury that took six weeks to heal. Twice the size of my other calf, and had to be wheeled at the airport the day after the injury. Until my injury I could never understand the length of time players miss to this injury. It's serious, and can reappear at anytime. I reinjured it jumping up when the Pels won the Zion lottery. True story. McCoy is out for some time.

Maybe. I bet he's getting a different level of care than you received though

To a degree, but the human body is the human body. There’s also a significant chance of aggravation or reinjury given his activity level.

Speculate as to how long you think he’ll be out

Mike Trout suffered a calf strain in May. Today the Angels announced he won't return this season. Five months of recovery, still not back.

I hope McCoy’s strain is you know, not like that one.
