Titleist Iron - Loose Weight

I've had a couple of repairs I've sent in and from my experience, they go faster than a new order would, but it's going to depend on what they need to do. If they have to build you a new club with your specs, it's going to depend on what they have in stock or if they have to wait for it to be available.

Titleist QC Dept leaves a lot to be desired IMO.

A couple of years ago I order a set of T200's that were suppose to be 2 degrees upright and a half inch long.

Out of 8 irons only 2 were correct. My 6 iron ended up being over a degree flat and 3 clubs were standard length.

They do a good job on their woods, but I will never trust their irons again.

Every time that I get a set of irons, I have the lie, loft and length check before I leave the store.

I do tell the store upfront about that so if they have any issue with it. I will pass on ordering from them.

Equipment costs to much now days not to be right.

I’ll jump in here. I play the Srixon 565s and am a 5 handicap (lowest 3.3) I know sub scratch golfers who play Ping G425s. Why?

It’s what fits our games the best. I hit the 700 series irons from Srixon and the numbers didn’t lie. 500s we’re better for me.

If you could tie a brick to a 2x4 and shoot scratch, would you?

I honestly went with what the guy suggested. The 200 and 100s are built for more control and I've built my game around a straight shot and not getting fancy about bending it around a corner. I can still draw an iron if I need to with the 300s but it's like a once a round or once every couple of rounds shot. I value the ball strike forgiveness more than the control factor.

He never really told me why he suggested the 300s over the 200s but I did tell him that I'm more of a straight line golfer than a control player so I suspect that's why the 300s were the club.

Oddly enough, I played with a buddy yesterday who recently got fitted into some blades. He is struggling with them. He is a better golfer than I am when his game is on, but he was candid about maybe getting a little overzealous with stepping it up to more of a blade style club.
