Luxury Vinyl Flooring Recommendation

Trying to decide between 2 types for new construction. Same manufacturer, same color/style.
1st is a 2.5mm/20 mil wear layer glue down
2nd is a 5.5mm/20 mil wear layer click
Flooring company recommended glue down due to availability, cost, potential floods, etc. Called another company to inquire and they recommended click for resell purposes.
Not sure what the cost difference would be but any recommendations on this?

I've heard the click is the way to go.

I just installed glue down in my pizza place. The stuff looks great and holding up great so far. No hollow sound with the glue down like you get with a snaplock and if you ever change floors, you can probably leave the old stuff down and lay the new flooring on top.

You are likely going to want to re do your flooring in a floor with that stuff as the water will get underneath it and mold, even glue down.
I'm not sure why click would be better for resell. Buyers want move in ready, no one walks in a says "oh shite this will same me $1000 on labor because its easier to remove even though I hate the color".
Given that, thicker is generally better. 2.5mm is very thin and will likely show wear.

We did click and love it. We tore up glue down wood floors to put this down. I wasn't about to glue something else that I'd have to have scraped up in 20 years.

Something else to consider is how level your floor will be OP. You should definitely have a pro level it after your contractor is done, or have a serious talk with your contractor. Im not flooring pro, but one thing I hate about the longer flooring is when there is "give" in them due to the subfloor not being level and being air gaps underneath. Long term any flex is not good as it will pull apart and damage itself. It may never be significant, but it will happen.
Again most floors require a certain amount of level, but tile for instance you can lay some extra mortar down to help level. Glue down may be better if its more uneven, it may not be. I'm not sure.
Something I'd absolutely consider though because as I said the wrong flooring on a bad subfloor will piss you off daily.
