While most here are pretty familiar with the term, some may still not be. Plus, this is a short, easily digestible little video he just did for PragerU which ought to be spread around as much as possible.

For those that don't know him, Lindsay is one of the three scholars that did the Grievance Study Hoax a few years ago. At this point, he's the foremost advocate fighting against Wokeism and Critical Race Theory.

What is CRT?

100%. I just happened to see this pop up today and because it's so short and spot on I thought it was a good one to bring here in case others wanted to pass it around.

CRT like anti-Racism and Equity are terms that get thrown around now but I think most average people have no idea what any of it is. This is a good primer into that world for those people who likely don't post here.

That's an interesting listen. I'd be curious to hear about more from an "unbiased" source. However, the way it is presented it seems to be rather straight forward.

To be honest, it is straight forward. It it helps, Lindsay is a lefty and always has been. As far as I know, he's also an atheist, so his association with PragerU is one of pragmatism on this anti-woke issue. When it would come to most basic traditional policy issues, I'd assume he disagrees with Prager well over 50% of the time.

Put another way, if you can create a tent that can cover both James Lindsay and Dennis Prager, what's outside of it must REALLY suck.

What is the origin of Critical Race theory? I don't recall it being around until quite recently? Are they piggybacking on Marxist Critical Theory?
From the video it sounds like good ole fashioned discrimination.

Started in the 70s.

Marxism uses “critical theory.” Critical theory just argues that problems in society are driven more (Almost exclusively) by structures and culture than individuals.

You can then create a critical theory of anything. Critical legal theory which would view the legal through a Marxist deconstructionism. Critical historic studies. Critical feminist studies. Critical _______ (literally fill in the blank) studies.

Everyone should listen to at least the first 2:30 minutes and keep in mind that the F*CKING MORON that made the final 3 in the LSU President search made his "academic name" putting out this critical race theory GARBAGE, including the typical "math is racist" bullsh!t.
