Would anyone be down for this? I took part in the basketball breaks we did a few years ago.

This was fun when I was younger but nowadays I’m only putting money into real investments. Current autos and boxes (outside relic boxes), just don’t do anything for me. A $20 card when I was a kid was huge when I was buying $3 packs.
Hard money, eBay proof, $20 card now probably takes $80 burn to get. Pass on that.
Edit: I’d be down for one of those expensive case breaks. I think they’re like $800 a box. I forget what they’re called. Have like pieces of the game and old autos in them.

$100 isn’t a real investment. That’s playing around.

But you made it sound like $20 was too much.

I might be interested if I could get all the Pirates. (Since they aren't that good it increases the value for other participants.)
last time, we just drew for teams (or random generated it or some shite) which makes the most sense, but if you were the only one that wanted a shitty value team, that could work. i want the reds

I used to spend $3,000 a month buying breaking and selling cards from 2010-2014.
I probably maybe. If I did some fuzzy math. Maybe 10% profit?

I think one of the best pulls I made in basketball came out this rinky dink set that got thrown in as a bonus buy at a local shop. Bill Russell limited edition signature card 1/1. I think I ended up getting close to a grand for it from some guy in Delaware. Raw. Not even graded.
The thrill of breaking kept me going. The business side I hated. The business is made up of a bunch of sleeze bags for the most part. All those card shop owners you knew growing up were even weirder when you get older, see them now and have perspective.
