The family should have just done like the Jones Truck Lines family did and started a museum with all the crap.
Har-Ber Village in NE OK is the junk that filled their time/real estate collections of their wealthy lifetimes for the JTL founder and his wife: Harvey and Bernice Jones.
When folks tour there they see all this same kind of clutter. Dolls, furniture, paintings, animal mounts, farm equipment like old plows and 100 year old farm tractor equipment all spread out in a bunch of tiny "recreation" buildings (essentially modified storage buildings).
A big chunk of land in hilly NE Oklahoma lakeside (Grand Lake) so it has nice views.

Yeah, that chain link fence adds plenty to the views, LOL.
None of that crap belongs in a museum. It always makes me more than a bit sad to see the detritus of a life up for auction. After cleaning out the houses & possessions of 5 different family elders, I'm more minimalist than maximalist. Throw out a lifetime of greeting cards, Avon figurines, and pointless crap amassed by acquisitive relatives with dubious taste, and you'll see the wisdom of Swedish Death Cleaning: LINK
