Looking for something casual for lunch and dinner. Any sports bars with really good food? Any Canadian-only type places that shouldn’t be missed?

The only memorable meal I’ve ever had in Toronto was only because of the view. The 360 Restaurant in the 350 meter high CN Tower in downtown Toronto was upscale food but the view was real highlight.

Because Toronto is so ethnically diverse, there are good restaurants from many different types of cuisine.

Go to the Hockey HOF there, it was cool even for me as a non-hockey fan.

Best pub fare I've had is outside of the immediate downtown area. Dock Ellis and Brooklyn Tavern have great food.

Toronto is very diverse - are you into ethnic food? If so, plenty of Chinese, Indian and South Asian restaurants to choose from. Rosewood and House of Gourmet are both good, lively places in Chinatown. Posted awhile ago, but House of Gourmet has awful service. Otherwise, I am happy to provide some Indian and South Asian recommendations. Only issue is that they aren't the closest places to downtown (i.e. Markham, Scarborough)...

Toronto is one of - if not the - most ethnically diverse cities in North America. Take advantage of that and have some amazing, authentic food of basically any culture you can think of.

I don’t have any specific recommendations because I can’t remember the names of any of them, but I had some great high end Japanese yakitori (the charcoal was some super rare/nice stuff straight from Japan). Also a lot of good Chinese, both Cantonese as well as non.

I ate up in the CN Tower. Food was pretty crappy and couldn't see shite b/c it was rainy and we were in the clouds basically. The view is worth the crappy food.

Toronto is an awesome city though. Very heavy on the asian diversity.
