Has a new book coming out soon. Artemis.
Martian was a great read. Looking forward to this.
Jazz Bashara is a criminal.
Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you’re not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent.

The Martian was great. I googled the author after I read the book, and he actually wrote the book on a message board in parts. I couldn’t imagine starting it and having to wait until the new part came out. I was on edge the whole book.

Anyone start it yet? Thoughts? Finishing up another book before I? can get started

Not yet, but similarly, it's next on my reading list.

I listened to it this week and it was a fun sci-fi thriller. It's not a sequel to The Maritan at all so go into it thinking that it's its own thing. I think I liked The Martian more, but this was solid.

Know it’s not a sequel, but does it read similar to The Martian? Felt like the Martian had a lot of detailed science in it. (Not too detailed because I? was able to understand it”

I just finished it. You can tell it's the same author and it is LOL funny in spots and generally if you enjoyed his writing style in the Martian you'll enjoy this. Best part to me was the similar writing style and science geek aspects. I didn't enjoy it as much as the Martian but I did enjoy it; in fact it would be difficult to enjoy anything as much as I did the Martian.
I'd recommend it and once others have read it I have some comments I'd like to discuss but I don't want to risk spoiling it for those who haven't read it...

I thought it was great. Read the whole thing in a day haha. I liked it better than the Martian.
