A new "true" Mexican restaurant in Gonzales - "Taqueria el Atoron"

Visited here for the first time this evening and was amazed. It is not Americanized Mexican food, it's the real thing.
It's on hwy 30 between the hospital and hwy 44, just past Ashley's Furniture. It has a Mexican supermarket behind it (same owners).
As soon as you walk into the place, the smell of lime, peppers, and onions nearly knock you over (in a good way).

There’s nothing wrong with a good taqueria.

I saw this Sunday night. Kicked myself because I had already eaten before seeing it.
Looks legit from the outside.
The Facebook photos show kind of a texmex type fusion. Tacos look ok.

It's the big yellow building right?
They opened that store and basically moved La Mexicana over to there. There's some real legit food there. It's a bit of a hidden gem in Gonzo.
