Asked one of the officers on scene, he said he didn’t know at the time. He would have told me. I’ve known him since his earliest days and coached him in football.
I’m guessing black because of some recent black gang activity in Mississippi near us. One night there was a warning not be to out in McComb because of threatened gang violence.
Purely speculation on my part though.

No news since search called off except one victim in Magnolia died.
Also, helicopter was a US Customs bird out of Hammond and not from BR as initially reported.
All this is stuff was provided by local LEOs. 9 or 10 agencies responded, 4 from MS and 5-6 from LA.
