Texas vs. OU at the Cotton Bowl

I’m headed to the state fair this weekend and was thinking about also trying to get some tickets for the Texas-OU game while we’re there. Have any of you been and have tips of when to get tickets, so I can get them as cheap as possible. Also where’s a good place to park around the stadium? Any other tips are greatly appreciated as well. I’m looking forward to trying the fried gumbo…
Thanks and Geaux Tigers

Is your hotel close to the rail line? If so, you may want to consider taking the rail vs. parking at the fair. DART has a route schedule specifically for game day.
If it matters to you, the stadium is divided at the 50 yard line. I personally find OU fans more enjoyable to be around, but I could be a little biased .

I would uber or take light rail. There are parking lots around the stadium that charge $20 but its a crap shoot finding a space. You might get lucky and find street parking on the west side of fair park but unless you know your way around the area, you can easily wind up in the hood.
