My phone got smashed over the weekend so I got in to verizon yesterday to get a new one. Decided on a LG Velvet. Phone works fine, but I get home and I realize i paid double what everyone else is charging.

Im pretty annoyed, but I have 30 days to exchange it. I'm leaning towards the galaxy s21 5g.

Dont really want to get an iphone.

Galaxy s21 will be the best thing you can get at the moment at the Verizon store. They normally have tons of discounts on Samsung products. I use the Pixel 5 and I like it a lot.

Pixel is the best Android imo.

There are only two solid choices for android phones. You get an s21, or google pixel 5.

Or you go with an iphone.

All other phones are worse in comparison to those.

I agree with this.

I think it's important to look at build quality when you're buying a phone. Most phones have similar feature sets. What you want is one that will last years with minimal problems. My last samsung phone was always having issues with charging cables or some other finicky BS. It was fine while it worked, and it could be made to work, but it wasn't perfect.

The iphone has always just worked. Never have an issue with it. Solid construction, and every feature has worked the way it's supposed to.

You'll hear a lot of people evangelize the benefits of one phone over another. I'm not here to sell you on an OS or a particular feature. I just want a phone that works every time without issue. If that's what you want, stay away from android phones.

Thanks. I ended up getting an s21. Used to have a pixel, which I liked but they didn't have any

Is it coming out tomorrow, or just being announced?

I think they have 2-3 that are just being announced tomorrow. Some fold phone and the new S22, I think.

If I were a baller, I'd keep my iPhone 12 Pro Max and get the new Samsung S22 Plus or whatever they're announcing. The S21 looks legit but I'm too tied into Apple.

Have the Pixel 6 and/or Pixel 6 Pro specs been announced? I know their software was taking great pics for them but I think that can only go so far unless the bump up the specs.
