I drive by this thing everyday, and while it's certainly prone do getting a little crumby, I don't think I've ever seen it get this gross this fast.

I'm starting to wonder if they're pumping construction soot out of the top.

Yeah, over 22" of rain for the yearly average will do that...

its just mildew from the constant rain, but yes it also needs to be pressure washed and repainted.

the name change will be the trigger to repaint it but latoya not letting people into games hurt their profits a lot so they arent looking to spend money when they lost money last year

They’ve been waiting for the naming rights to change. They need to rebrand the roof and that will include a cleanup.

Pretty sure the teams made super bank recently with the new TV deal, so they're not hurting as bad as they want you to believe.

quote:

The NFL distributes television revenue to all teams equally, regardless of performance. As of February 2019 each team receives $255 million annually from the league's television contracts, up 150% from $99.9 million in 2010.

They can go wash and paint a roof and maybe have a couple bucks left over

the superdome has nothing to do with the saints and the saints have nothing to do with the dome. the team pays to use the dome just like any other entity does.

i waas speaking to the dome company not making money last year, the team made money but the superdome lost revenue

The Dome was still rented out as normal. So they didn’t lose that much. Who gets gate money and concessions?

False. They are in a contract together and both reap benefits from deals such as naming rights to the dome.

quote:

The New Orleans Saints are expected to sign a deal with Caesars Entertainment, Inc., making them the naming rights sponsor of the Superdome for the next two decades, sources told The Athletic on Wednesday. The deal will pay the Saints $10 million annually for the next 20 years, sources said
