Anyone been to St. Thomas very recently?

I was wondering what the sargassum/seaweed situation was like. I have seen recent videos and it looks bad on the east side of the island, but I was hoping for reports from Magens Bay or further west like Brewers and Lindbergh Beaches. Thanks for any info!

There was plenty on St. John last week, so I'd guess it's no different on St. Thomas. Obviously it sucks, but it only canceled one of our planned beach visits, we simply went to a different beach a few miles away.
North side of the island it was never a problem.

Stupid question, but are there any beaches in the Caribbean or Mexico where this isn't a problem? I guess it just only happens during a short period out of the year, but I hear more about it than I thought I would from people who have been traveling.

Ive heard from some friends that recently visited Cancun and they said per the workers it's worse theyve ever seen it.
