Right! When the AMT was enacted back in the 1960's, it hit something like 160 households in the entire US. It hit FIVE MILLION households before being rolled back just a few short years ago to a mere 150,000. It comes back full swing in '26 unless something changes. A new tax NEVER just stops......

Yeah, it will always stay at that rate if enacted, they never increase taxes

I used to be you. "Meh, this isn't that big a deal" "this will never go through" etc. But what we've seen is that throw enough crazy ideas out there and then compromise on "little" stuff.

Not the point. Why would anyone be ok with this is beyond me. Give them an inch....

The swamp weasels like riding their inflation engine as a sneaky way to slide people into higher taxes. Taxes need to be scaled to inflation.
