Prediction: The Republicans and Moderate Dems 'boldly fight' and stop this bill from passing and agree to 'compromise' on a bill the Uni-Party really wants
Do not fall for any registration schemes. They'll offer free NFA registration for everyone that already owns any 'assault weapons' or 'assault clips'

You might be right. Why, of all things, would they involve Congress on this and not use an EO? Maybe shoot down the HR in a show of unity and then ran through registration only via EO.

Preventing law abiding citizens from defending themselves is an "assault weapon" against their human dignity.

Yeah I'm not registering shite. I sold all of my guns to a guy named Ray in a Wal-Mart parking lot, all 100% legal I should add.

Close, but not quite. They do not actually give a shite about gun control. It is an issue that they created to polarize people and use so both sides can get sound bites and at the end, they can say - "we tried". It is part of their bread and circus strategy. They will never pass an actual gun control bill because it will make the currently law-abiding people with guns ungovernable.
