That having been said the hardest position to evaluate on the high school level is offensive line. There are more hit or misses there than any other position. There are numerous examples underrated kids becoming stars and visa versa. You have to trust the coaches on this but if they whiff on too many players not panning out they lose their jobs.
Exactly, go back and look at the the offensive line NFL first round picks over the past several years and then go back and look at their respective star ratings coming out of HS. Lots of lower ranked guys in HS on the O-line end up being first round picks in the NFL.
