My 8 yr old daughter wants a drone for Christmas. Any suggestions on a drone I could purchase that doesn’t break the bank but is still of decent quality? I would like to keep it around $500. This would be the first drone I’ve purchased.

Have some pretty good ones at walmart for a 100.00. No way I spend more than that on a 8 year old

The mavic mini posted above is a good buy. DJI drones are stupid easy to fly and I give my controls over to pretty much anyone that will listen and not be a dumbass. Kids that aren’t morons should have no problem flying them.

Don’t buy a a crap drone, it’s just a waste of money.

Generally speaking, the cheaper the drone, the harder it is to fly.

We got the magic mini fly more combo for my 11yo. I’ve probably flown it more than him

Each battery lasts about 30 minutes and the fly more combo comes with 3. Pretty amazing drone for the money
