Take the win. It hasn’t and it won’t be easy

LSU is not a good team on 2020 for the standards of a program this successful. No one can argue that. Biggest problem is the Defense. Far from great but at least I saw better effort, better gap integrity and less busted plays. They made several big plays but at least LSU defenders where in decent coverage just got beat on most of them.
Is that on par with some of the great defensive teams LSU has fielded? Of course not, but for this year is perhaps as good as it will be.

The years of great defense are behind us. Saban said it himself recently. Unfortunately just how it is now.

I’m ok with not so great defense if they’ll at least slow down the big plays. They connected on almost every deep ball thrown it felt like yesterday...

The defense isn't up to L S U standards and the weakest spot on the defense is obviously the secondary. But in all fairness let's give credit where credit is due. Arkansas' abysmal record on 3rd down was the result of some pretty decent defense.

I just hope A&M doesn’t blow us out, I’ve already conceded to myself that the Alabama and Florida games will be ugly for us LSU fans.

Also yes I would hope the players haven’t conceded that Florida and Alabama will win easily, but I am just a fan, so I can be objective and say I hope we win, but am expecting big losses in those games.
