I do need to periodically reset the modem to maintain max speeds, but I think that's a Cox issue.
Possible but I think more likely it's an issue with the modem/router. Is the firmware up to date?

It's suppose to be. My cable provider (Cox) is responsible for all firmware updates and is suppose to push those through. Which may be the cause of needing to routinely restart the modem. Although, now that I am typing this, may be worth the headache of sitting on hold for awhile to get them to push a reset through to make sure.

I feel like I’ve read in the past that ISPs are notoriously bad about pushing through firmware upgrades for their modems. At least that’s how it was with suddenlink I believe.

I guarantee that's the situation with Cox NOLA. but that's the only way to upgrade it for my modem bc the ISP has the right to review, test the update before they push it through
