Alyeska Is à great choice. Rated by Nat Geo as one of the best ski towns in the world, Gurdwwod is more ski bum that rich people gathering place. Longest double diamond run in N. America. Good possibility of the Northern lights too.

Anchorage is a short drive.

They own their house and they bought the vacant lot next door as an investment.

Thought about Granby ranch this year but saw a lady dies last year from ski lift malfunction and the forest fires seem to have been bad around there last few months. Also it was foreclosed or bankrupt recently.
I’m going to stay in FairPlay instead and drive an hour to Monarch a few days out of the week.

Pretty sure we are talking about the same incident, it was 4 years ago I believe. Also, worth mentioning she had her 2 young daughters with her on the chair and did not pull down the safety bar. By all accounts, none of them would have been tossed from the chair if she had pulled the safety bar down, like any sane person with small children always do
