1987 LSU team was solid. Midfield emblem is pretty cool

Sammy Martin was one tough and fast little guy. Met him with one of his buddies. Apparently, they loved the weed.

This Emmett Smith kid may end up being pretty good.

Emmitt got some big shoulder pads for a running back.

Everyone had big shoulder pads. Eric Hill was huge for that era, but the shoulder pads made him look like an o-lineman

Stadium was much smaller then, and I was in West upper deck. One of the loudest games I have ever been to in TS. And, it was like that the entire game

I was stationed at Camp Lejeune at the time and was excited to watch the game. Imagine my rage when it wasn't broadcasted there. It was a UNC basketball scrimmage. I just couldn't fricking believe it. North Carolina just didn't give a shite about football.

Yes was on row 1 south EZ right where Harvey ran the TD in and winked at us Recall the previous week the 13 all tie with T O St. and was like July, then this game was cold as F. I knew the odds were against them making the FG at end since would be 2 straight 13 all ties.
Also, filming the movie E All American during TO's and halftime. Good times considering we were not near an elite team but still solid.

That’s because there wasn’t a fricking iPhone in 1987...

My junior year at LSU.

Good times.

Football was more fun back then.

I was a student at LSU for that game. Even with all the drinking going on I realized that guys was special.

Just married. Two years before our first child. Seats in northeast Endzone. Loudest that I have ever heard TS. Drug wife over fence to get onto field. She was wearing a red linen dress for some inexplicable reason. Bruised the hell out of her thigh. Still have ziplock bag with ticket stub and north Endzone grass in it. ‘‘Twas my Number one TS experience....been going consistently since ‘75!!
