I noticed that it is a total joke calculations is what i noticed.... Meaning you value PER 100x more than ws/48. I would say I know you can do better but tbt I don’t know that.

“Obviously the Overall +/- number is heavily influenced by PER and BPM, but you can still clearly see which players performed above and below their regular season levels in each category.”

That’s a lot of words explaining something already admitted in the beginning of the first sentence after the image WBB. What are you so mad about?

quote:

If you want to do it legitimately you would measure the % difference, not the actual #,

And the second part of the first sentence after the picture addresses why the data is still relevant WBB, by showing who performed above and below their regular season numbers.

I’ll type it out since you’re incapable of doing so:

“Harden was 9/14 in PER differential, the stat that most comprehensively measures individual performance. The rest of his metrics show basically no difference between regular season and playoffs. The logical conclusion to draw from that is that harden is a regular season player that doesn’t elevate his game in the playoffs, at best.”

quote:

If you want to do it legitimately you would measure the % difference, not the actual #, and adjust for strength of opponent.

Would that be actual real life SOS or WBB SOS where the rockets are the best team in the league that would beat the thunder and lakers in 5 games each?

Harden was slightly better at a few metrics and slightly worse at a few. Considering he was playing above average D and didn’t have any games v the bottom feeders to boost his average it is safe to say he was better overall in the post season.

So not elevating his game above regular season levels then. Got it.

slightly worse at a few.

So worse than regular season. Got it.

Considering he was playing above average D

1.

2. His defense is accounted for in 3/4 of these metrics.

and didn’t have any games v the bottom feeders

Again, which bottom feeders WBB? According to your eye test the rockets were the best team and the thunder and lakers were supposed to lose in 5 games. The lakers in particular were supposed to have no one that could guard him. Should’ve meant substantial stat padding opportunities, right?

it is safe to say he was better overall in the post season.

It’s not safe at all to say that. In fact it’s a lie. Go ahead and run his numbers the way you think they should be run and let me know what you get.

Why are you triggered by a graphic full of facts WBB?

No reason to. The series wasn’t the least bit disappointing. Harden outplayed bron is a huge W. hardens robin, 3rd team all nba, played like the worse player in the court due to a combined covid/injury. No one could have Predicted russ being that bad. That is the way the ball bounces sometimes.

Isn’t it strange how players seem to get worse when they play with harden WBB?

“In a league with no superteams, the team with the best player wins the championship. That’s the rockets with harden”
