There are worse places to be. I'm here for at least 3 years and I may try to stretch it out!

Those are some incredible pictures, dude.

Me and the lady are going to be making a trip to that area in September.

September is a good time to visit. The crowds have been INSANE the past few weeks.

Good to hear. I know that its kind of unpredictable, but what do you foresee the snow situation to be like out there in late September?

Like you said, unpredictable, but chances are it wont impact your visit too much. There might be a dusting of snow that hits the valley, but it usually doesn't stick around for more than a few hours once it stops snowing. Most lower elevation hiking trails should still be clear, perhaps a little muddy, but good to go for the most part.

You should catch some gorgeous fall colors, and there's just as good of chance the weather will be sunny and perfect as there is a chance of rain/snow/cold.

Our season usually runs from approximately May 15 to October 15. We are private so we have a set close date, other courses will try to stay open depending on weather.

Not as nice as some of these places but my daily view is not terrible. Sun was out today and the sky was clear and hot. Just like I like it.

Yep, I quit my real job and started guiding here full time back in 1997.

Seen some crazy shite in those years. Im about to wind it down here in the next couple of years. Gonna pack it up and move south. Do some inshore guiding till I get too old to do so.

Freshwater has been great to me. Gonna try a little saltwater... Different scenery...

Yea. I kinda wished I would have made this move earlier in life. Im 53 now and hope I can do 10 more years on the water. Im probably only going to do 2-3 days per week guiding

Im having to wait on my wife to get her years in at her job. She is about there then we can make the move and just work a few days per week.

We have been lucky. Got to do a lot of things over the past 34 years together. Gonna ride it out on a beach chair with a cold drink somewhere.
