Going next weekend, have tee times at both right now. Which is better to play? Which one was recently renovated?

Neither. Go play Rock Creek.

Dogwood was recently renovated completely in 2017 / 2018.

Dogwood is a fun course. Good variation. Not a bucket list course, but fun.

Agree, Dogwood if you want to stay on site, Rock Creek is a better layout and usually in better shape 20 minutes max to the course from The Grand

Lakewood is always in perfect shape when I play it. There wasn't a blade of grass out of place in June at Dogwood.
Rock Creek is the best value in golf I have ever seen though.

Play both. But Dogwood if you have to chose. Opening holes playing back to the bay/marsh are nice.

Played both today. Both courses are in EXCELLENT shape. You can’t go wrong with either.

I played both last week. Even though it was really wet the greens were still perfect. You really can’t go wrong with either course.
