For those that think the bayou bengals don't garnish enough respect:

Wrong right out the gates.

Clemson did it first 18 months ago.

I still think 2019 LSU is the greatest team ever, but it's hard to take someone seriously when they miss something this glaring.

I think the point of the article was sec only
Probably meant to say LSU was first team in sec to go 15-0
Plus the teams they went through was much tougher than what Clemson faced

Almost as glaring as not knowing that Clemson is not a member of the SEC, which this article is obviously about!

The statement is still wrong. It should have said SEC history not college football history.

Except that the statement explicitly is

quote:

The first 15-win college football team in history

I'll give you that he may have meant SEC, but his statement doesn't allude to that at all.

2012 Bama ranked too high on the list. Shouldn’t be above 2010 Auburn. And how is 2011 Bama ranked 5th?

I would do the rankings slightly different but 2019 LSU is definitely number 1. There is no debate there.

The glaring title of the article should tell you otherwise

A Mizzou buddy of mine would not accept the Natty that LSU won in the 2007-08 season because of 2 losses. The only 1 loss team that year was Kansas, which loss was to Mizzou, ending a strange complaint. KU was then ranked No. 7 at the end, talk about no respect.

1998 Tennessee should be ranked last in any list like this. They lucked their way into the championship game, and were then lucky FSU’s starting QB was out. MVP getting them to the NC game was Arkansas QB Clint Stoerner.

2011 Bama should be top 3.

It's interesting how 2011 LSU would've been thought of much more highly had they won the Natty that year than Bama is. That Bama team is thought of as an all time great for sure but had LSU won that game the 2011 tigers would've been thought of as one of the top 5 greatest of all time

The glaring title of the article should have helped the author get the statement right.
