Based on your taste, I was surprised this one slipped past you. It's such a great album. The Lioness and Didn't it Rain aren't far behind. Not as lush, but the lyrics are so powerful.

Just Be Simple can absolutely wreck me any time I hear it.

That’s probably my second favorite on the album. But I’m finding hard not to just listen to Farewell Transmission over and over.

I was planning on checking out Didn’t it Rain next.

Yeah, I like their version too. I heard a My Morning Jacket cover as well. That one didn’t really do it for me.

If y’all like Jason Molina, you should also check out Damien Jurado.

I remember listening to and enjoying Visions of Us on the Land a few years back. But that’s about it. Best album to start with?

I’d go with “Where Shall You Take Me?”

Rehearsals for Departure and I Break Chairs are my favorites... the latter being his most rocking effort.. which is a nice change of pace to most of his catalog..

New posthumous album from Molina, Eight Gates, is out today. Only 25 minutes long, but sounds pretty good so far.

Also the first The Microphones album in 17 years is out today. It consists of one 44 minute song.

It’s a great day if you like late 90s/early 2000s lo-fi indie folk.
