"Saving bad compost". Bought some that's loaded with sand. Too heavy and grainy.

Sticks, dried grass, little to no manure, and and sand. It's pretty obvious. Needed a bunch as a mix in for my May mulch and my regular guy who does a peanut hull based thing that is lite, fluffy and works like a champ was out. And I used my concoctions earlier. But I throw nothing away. So Imma fix it, I think.

Broke it down to two big tubs and am adding 20 lb's of Black Velvet Mushroom compost (half a $4.39 bag) to each. A quarter of a sack of Jobe's Organic Tomato and vegetable fertilizer that was last year's and $3. bucks for 8 lb's from Walmart to each. Some fresh grass clippings and about 10 lb's of Scott's premium top soil (lots of sticks and organic material and cheap) to give it air and oxygen. Then I'm pouring a 5 gallon bucket of molasses water over each. Lots of drain holes and I'll keep it damp for a month.

As you can see I don't give up easy and throw very little away. Everything I'm using is cheap and the Scott's is leftover fill dirt. We'll see.
