No kidding!

%TaxRate X GDP = Revenue
is an interesting equation as revenue remains relatively stable over a range of Tax Rates. As that range is exceeded, revenue falls either to the ascending or descending slopes of the Laffer curve.

The key is determining the tax rate which maximizes growth and maintains adequate revenue. Repubs attempt the balance thru growth stimulation. Dems go with tax hikes.
