Dishnetwork with Cox cable?

Technically speaking, it is possible as long as the frequencies used do not overlap. Will Dish or Cox support this? Absolutely not... one or the other may even refuse to install in this manner.

Also, keep in mind that the Dish switches and LNB require power in some cases - the cable modem wouldn’t like that much.

The cable companies can use anything from 1 to 42MHz and 54 to 1012 MHz. Most of it is pretty much above 54 because the noise levels increase at lower frequencies.

After the microwave signal is converted by the LNBF, Dish operates between 950-1450 and 1650-2150 for the main signal. If you use wired Joey's, the Hoppers back feed that between 650 and 875.

That's how the signals play with one another. The switch for the new Dish stuff is located in the LNBF on the Dish. It can swap polarity for differences in transponder signals.

In regard to cable, digital signals sometimes need to be amplified with a unity gain amp or drop amp (drop amps aren't used much these days). Modems can be placed on these lines as well.

Anyway, like these other guys have mentioned, they can't co-exist on the same coax cable. You can designate one line in your house for the internet with an extra main line coming in. Dish can do that for you. Then, have one wired line for the Hopper and use wireless Joey's for everything else.

It can be done easily.
