Have been looking at Rogue but it takes 10-14 days to ship and they also try to charge me expensive shipping even though I’m buying a barbell and weight set with free shipping.

Anything other than rogue?

I built one out of galvanized pipe from home Depot and lag bolted it to the ceiling in my garage.

Probably around 60 bucks if I had to guess. Been a few years since I built it. It's all 1” galvanized pipe. 2 12" nipples for the down bars, 48" cross bar, 2 90 degree fittings and 2 floor flanges. I assembled it and mounted it to a piece of 2x6 lumber and lag bolted that to the ceiling

Is it strong enough for kipping?

Probably so, but if you wanted to kip I'd probably use something wider than a 2x6 to attach to the rafters. Just to give a little more surface holding area with the side force you'd put on the bar

I built it exactly like this! It’s bad arse. Need to put some tape around it like you have.

Appreciate it

I did something similar. Bought some round eye hooks and put them straight into the studs, and put a steel bar through the eyes. I didn't kip on it, but it is great for normal pullups. And recently I've had to do some exercise band pulldowns as part of my PT, and this was the perfect spot to put the rubber strap over.
