Best public courses in Los Angeles

Have the afternoon off Friday, looking to go play as a single somewhere in LA. Any suggestions?

Rustic Canyon. Affordable and architecturally really cool.


I played Industry. One of the best conditioned courses I’ve ever played, but it was a weird layout.

I'm headed to UCLA for a conference.... My plan is for the 1 day I have off is to play Torrey Pines. I know its 2 hours away.....Any other suggestions about a second course to play one afternoon?

That area is littered with good courses, they are just private. I was there a few years ago and had a blast driving around Bel Air and the area just outside of campus.

Pelican Hill in Newport Beach or Trump National as one person already mentioned.

Pelican hill North Course is the nicest course I have ever played.
