"I'm going to tell you what to do. Vote for me." "That's evil."

Today my 10 year old asked me "are we Democrats?"

Me: "No, we aren't anything. You can choose what you want to be, depending on what you think."

"I am not a Democrat because they think certain people should make decisions for the rest of us."

Kid: "That's evil."

"I'm going to tell you what to do, so vote for me."

Couldn't have said it better myself.

So you’re saying parents are predisposed to be Democrats

I actually kinda believe this one, as opposed to the ones put out by media personalities, because your child is 10.

When they say things like "My child asked me why it's so hard for some people to come to grips with the idea that some people are not born with the same genetilia as what they feel they should have," I question it because their child is apparently 18 months old.

Guiding and teaching your child

and

Forcing compliance on another adult

Are two very different things.

Are you really this fricking stupid?

You are equating making decisions for 10 year olds you are responsible for to making decisions for other adults?

With this kind of fricking stupidity running rampant, while you actually thought you had a real zinger, we are just putting off the inevitable, holding our finger in the dike while the stupidity is building and building and well soon wash us away.

I sort of see your point.

Dem/prog pols = parent

Dem/prog voters = petulant children

Dem/Progs think they are everyone else's parents.
