New Bridgestone Tour balls

I'm doing a test for the new B XS ball. With all the discussion on the driver and other clubs, I truly think more should be done on the ball. I think this is the true difference maker moving forward. Manufacturers are at the limits with CT/CoR, sure they can make heads more forgiving and keep speeds up on off center hits, increase launch, lower spin, etc.. but as far as improving base line speed, I don't think there's much left to do.
All that said, Bridgestone is claiming an average of 1.5 mph ball speed increase with their new balls and the Reactiv cover. In my Trackman testing session, I picked up 2.5 mph ball speed and because of better launch and spin characteristics over my current ball (6th gen Srixon Z Star) I gained an average of 17 yards carry. I picked up 1.4 mph more ball speed with my 7 iron and gained 4 yards carry, yet my spin was within 200 rpm, and my wedges were pretty static. I did see increased speed throughout the bag.
All this is to say, with all the talk of drivers, club tech, and fittings, make sure to get fitted for the best ball for your game. Bridgestone seems to have something figured out with their latest release.

Is this the 202 ball or the 2019?
I have been saying for a few years that this ball is awesome.

I still have 2019s to use. I can;t imagine they made it even better. BTW if you haven't hit them with a wedge yet, get ready for it to spin.

It’s better. The idea is similar non-Newtonian liquid where it becomes more rigid with faster impact and softer with slower impact. Pretty innovative. The softer feel at lower speeds should keep the ball on the face longer meaning more better groove effectiveness and more spin.

And I’ll still outdrive you.

I've still got 3 dozen Z Stars to go through.
