Small area home mold remediation

I had a water leak in an interior wall that I fixed but there is a bit of mold growing on the Sheetrock behind where I removed the molding. I plan on getting some DampRid to dry out inside the wall.
What’s the best way to rid the mold? Bleach mixture?
Separately, I have a spot on my ceiling above the shower that is molding because obviously I don’t have enough ventilation in that spot. I know I have to address the venting issue but what’s a good remediation for it? Is Kilz enough to keep it from spreading?

Is there insulation behind the rock? If so, it may have paper facing that will feed the mold growth. Either way, the sheetrock has paper facing as well, so depending on the amount of mold and how much water there was, you might want to just cut out that piece of wall and make sure it dries out. It’ll be an easy fix later.
Bleach is not an effective mold killer. Vinegar works and so does the stuff you can buy at Home Depot/Lowe’s. Just follow the directions on the bottle. Same for the ceiling. Treat the area and confirm you kill the mold, then repair the area. BIN primer is really good for covering And sealing water spots. It’s a shellac based primer so it’ll stick to anything. You can prime with a thicker primer and paint after that.

If it was me, I would cut out the wet part of the sheetrock and replace.

Mold doesn’t grow unless it’s wet. Drywall can get wet then grow mold, then dry out, and the mold will no longer grow. So if you have mold growing, you have a moisture issue. You need to stop the moisture first. Then kill the mold and clean it up.
There’s multiple mold killing products at any hardware store. Bleach is not the best but can be used, no reason to though for $15 you can buy a better product. Please don’t just use vinegar, bleach is better then vinegar. Bleach gets a bad rap for no reason other then libs pushing vinegar and mold companies pushing their product.

Borax is the best and safest product.
