They had a great team two years ago. Rightfully pointed out that the system prevents deserving teams from having a chance.

2017 UCF was a damn good team. Were they the best team in the country? Maybe not, but they were stacked with NFL talent and dicked Auburn right off the field

They are still national champs and can claim it because they are in the NCAA books as champs. Many teams over the years have claimed national championships the same way.
