In 2004, Skyler Green hurt his ankle in the first game vs Oregon State. It lingered the rest of the season and he was never really the same player. Saban rushed it. It was one two stupid things that Nick did. (The other was leaving Mauck in the 02 Florida game too long).
Skyler was the biggest playmaker on the team. After he was recovered I thought Les under utilized him in 05, but that 04 injury hurt the team.
