Per ESPN

quote:

State Civil District Court Judge Nicole Sheppard also ruled that attorney Antonio "Tony" LeMon can request documents and ask questions of NFL officials. LeMon said that means he will be able to question commissioner Roger Goodell and three game officials in depositions about the lack of a penalty -- pass interference or roughness -- against Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman for his helmet-to-helmet hit on receiver Tommylee Lewis well before a pass arrived. The play came during a crucial point in January's NFC title game.

quote:

"The purpose of the lawsuit is not to get some minuscule amount of money. They won't even notice that," LeMon said. "It's to get at the truth." Other suits dealing with the blown call have wound up in federal court, where they have failed. They included one long-shot effort to have the game or a crucial part of it played over before the Rams met the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, which the Patriots won. LeMon said that by seeking $75,000 in damages, he keeps the suit below a threshold that could result in it being transferred to federal court, as other suits have been.

quote:

"I want their personnel files. I want their gradings," he said. "I want their notes from the game."

As much as I would just as soon see it all go away, I would love to see Goodell’s arse on the stand.

I get it but I feel like it’s probably just time to move past it. The Saints got fricked, that’s just the reality. Although if he wants to spend his time on it go right ahead.

While it does not dominate my every thought, it does get the heart rate up when i see it or hear about it. And i would love to watch goodell squirm on the stand.

FTR I am still not allowed in the TWO bars i was thrown out of that night. Because one was not enough.....

The fact that all of those refs are back this year with zero repercussions says it all. The NFL fired a ref last year for missing a blatant fslse start in a mid season game. That none of the refs are even suspended is ridiculous.

well you cant fire an employee for doing exactly what they were ordered to do

and if they did, the ref would file wrongful termination lawsuit and the fact they were ordered to rig the games would be exposed in that court testimony so they are not about to allow that.

Pretty much. I'd probably still be pissed if I was a coach or player. They put in a lot of time only to get screwed. Hopefully they change their frustration into focus & motivation. I guarantee you that Brees will & he's probably trying to convince the other team leaders to do the same.

Training camp is about to start, & we (the fans) should have gotten over it by now. Even if you haven't...pretend like you have. Seems like the smart thing to me.

I realize I'm in the minority, but it took me about 2 weeks to get over it. Well...2 weeks & some herb.

Unfortunately, you're right. As far as the NFL is concerned...the smart thing to do is to bury the story.

CSP would also be smart to forget about it when he's talking to the media. That being said...CSP should tell the league (behind closed doors, obviously) that they owe us 1 or maybe even 2 big favors.

Everyone besides the Rams think we got screwed.

proves the NFL is a joke and not serious about being responsible and accountable in regards to officiating.

there is no getting over taking 9 years to get a 1 seed again and then getting fricked by these clowns. chances we are in that position anytime soon again? slim to none.

I'd say that we have a good chance this year. After this year is a complete guess though.

What's done is done. I refuse to allow myself to be pissed off about it. Regardless of how blatant & pathetic it was.

I agree with you that it was a complete clown show, but it's time to move on. jmo.
