Anyone have any experience with having one implanted and having good results?

I know a gym bro whose gf has terrible back issues and suffers from nerve pain from diabetes, and she says it helps her tremendously.

What dr? Which system/company are they implanting?
You will go through a trial first to be sure it works for you. Insurance requires this. Most patients see great relief.

you will also have to go through psychiatric testing to make sure you can mentally handle it.
I wouldn't want it. It is a last option.

Yes, it requires a psych eval but it’s like a 2 question evaluation and the dr will have someone specific to go to that is a sure pass.
It is not a cure, but rather just numbs the pain. Most patients feel such relief they can’t stand waiting in between after the trial and implant.

Why are you having this done? What is your current body fat/weight and what are your strength levels?
I ask because this may be something that your weight or lack of strength is contributing too greatly or simply could te the cause of the pain.

I have had back surgery in the past due to an injury at work and have been very limited to what I can and can’t do.

What area are you in? I’d be happy to recommend an experienced and excellent dr Whom specializes in SCS

My wife ruptured a disc while lifting. She stays thin because it hurts too bad to eat a lot of the time. She has had discectomies and many treatments.

Absolutely and in this case, seems to be that is the case. Just many times weight is to blame for back problems.
