He's more of a developmental player than somebody you'd look to for an immediate impact, but there's a 6-8 kid at Lakeshore named Hunter Dean who looks like he might have some ability and might be worth taking with one of the four scholarships we have left.
He averaged 19 and 11 for a 4A team as a senior. Dean was a Southern Miss commitment (not a signee) and recently reopened his recruitment.
There's Hudl film on him. Here's the link. What you'll notice is a decent outside shot and some pretty impressive jumping ability.
Another kid who might be worth looking at is Charlie Russell from Sophie B. Wright. He's 6-7, and he's grown 2 or 3 inches over the past year or so. Russell averaged 17 and 11 on a team with two other college signees (Gregory Hammond is going to Rhode Island, and D.J. Burns is going to Southern), but he's the post player and might have the best upside of the bunch. There's the potential for a Tyrus Thomas type sleeper here.
Here's Russell's Hudl film. There's a lot of good defense on it and a lot of hustle, though you can tell he'd profit from a redshirt year in a strength and conditioning program.
I'm not saying LSU is on either one of these kids, but with four scholarships to give and a real need for only one or two impact kids it might be a decent idea to use some scholarships on developmental players and both of these kids fit that bill - and I can't imagine they wouldn't jump on an LSU offer if one came.

LSU has 3 more to give unless they take back Graves’ scholarship.

True. If they want to put Graves back on, they would have three.

Hunter Dean
Judging a players ability based on short video clips isn't very reliable. Basically all you can get an idea of is their athletic ability and some of their skill set. With Hunter I can say right off he is too slow. He moves well, but he is slow getting the ball over his head for a shot. I didn't see him passing any so don't know how he is in that category. If he has a high BB IQ maybe in a couple years in the gym he could hang in the SEC. But that is a big maybe.

Again, not enough on his videos to get a sense of his BB IQ. Athletically he is a year or two from being SEC material. Not sure how good a passer he is either.
Before Wade's suspension it was looking good for Watford, Sy and Quinones. I don't see why this would change, especially after Wade met with LSU and the NCAA regarding the wiretap tapes and neither has any proof or evidence he actually did anything against NCAA rules. This should end all the negative recruiting and rekindle the interest these recruits have in Wade and LSU.
Other than Khadim Sy, Trendon Watford and Lester Quinones I don't have any information about any other recruits LSU is after. I really hope LSU gets these 3.
