Who would we rather play?

We have the talent advantage and size over Belmont.
Maryland doesn’t look like they can score that well but play good defense
Personally I think our bigs would bully Belmont and Marlon can slow down #3 I want Belmont

Belmont. Maryland can rebound and LSU feasts on 2nd chance points. I'd rather play teams we can bully.

Maryland is kind of like Florida. Good team but very young. Play good defense and they can match up with our bigs.
Belmont is a good shooting team but we can bully them inside and in the paint and we can get a lot of second chance points because of the height advantage we have. Belmont wouldn’t be able to stop us from scoring in the paint and our defense can slow Belmont down. Belmont is the better matchup for us than Maryland is

Maryland is 7th in the country in rebounding margin (+8/game) which worries me a little. Belmont can stroke but with our size and superior athleticism we would dominate the glass and feast on second chance opportunities. Also, if we get any of their guys in foul trouble I believe their lack of depth will show.
We can and should beat either one of them but I'm pulling for Belmont.

One knock against Maryland is they’re very inconsistent. I guess the same could be said for us. MD has basically played the exact opposite of the way we did today. Sucked the first half, but came out swinging in the second.

HORRIBLE pass for Belmont..... looks like Maryland may lock this up smh.
