I have nothing to add to this other than bad arse Koi pond and this reminded me of the OT thread from a couple years back where the guy wanted to know if "Coy" were poisonous. He fried one up for him and his son.

No I have not eatten one...I did wonder how they tasted. Looks like I need to go see on the OT
Thats what I am thinking I am going to do...throw a bunch in and see how big they get. Maybe then ill just drain it some and catch the bream for a fish fry once there phat.
Sofaking...she is definitely thinking...can I eat it.

I have only had them a few years. I had some that were a lot bigger. I hadn't lost much in this pond but I tore my bicep off my elbow and didn't step foot outside for a long time.
It clogged up and greened up some and fish were missing. Either a bird or they died and the turtles dined.

Ive had a problem with coons eating mine. Birds dont come around much. Even my cats avoid them
Only other problem was one time i left the hose in the pond for like 7 hours and killed everything

I haven't seen any coons but have caught a king fisher and a big white crane at the edge on my cameras.
Been there...have so many T shirts. Try sticking the hose in a 90gal fish tank and then leaving only to get a call asking me if I was doing anything with water upstairs. This was at work. Picture this...drop down ceilings doing wonders at moving water around and making the entire kitchen a rain forest.
I left the hose on for 2hrs this mornign in the pond...good thing is so much volume. Turtles DGAF they ready to eat the dead. That exact thing had happened when I had a 300gal pond.

6 hours or so put a hurting on the pond. Killed everything including the minnows.
Its about 10 feet by 8 feet and the deepest part is 20 to 24 inches so it doesnt take much to alter the conditions.
Ive left the hose on in my 75 gallon inside by accident. Freaking mess cleaning up
