Hi I have been at 155 for several years, never intended to get to this weight, my ideal and comfortable weight is 175-180. I want to gain this weight as smart and as healthy as possible. I know in general what needs to be done like increasing calories and not as much cardio but what are some specific foods that I need to eat to achieve this? If you need any more specific info let me know

Gain 0.4-0.7 lbs a week to minimize fat gain and maximize muscle gain.
You do not need to eat your arse off to bulk. This is called “dirty bulking”, and is a sure-fire way to get fat! Eat just what you need for your body to grow and you’ll get bigger while staying as lean as possible.

Figure out your TDEE and add 200-300 calories to it, and that's all you need for clean growth.

to be smart about it you should be tracking calories. I would suggest based on your weight(kinda guessing on your age and height) you be somewhere in the following neighborhood

Protein-300g daily
Carbs-150 to 200g daily
Fat- rest of calories

I would imagine you would prolly need to be around 2250 to 2500 to start with.

as far as foods, beef and eggs are going to be numero uno by far.

what kind of program are you going to follow?
