Was Per Semetary 2 a low budget movie?

Just caught the last 20 minutes or so. My god I don’t remember the acting being this bad when I last saw it 20ish years ago. Especially not compared to the first one.

I don’t think so. Im pretty sure I saw it in the theater. But yes, it is bad.

It was in theaters. ER was hot, so Anthony Daniels was a decent actor choice for a movie. Plus Edward Furlong before he got on the heroin.

Pet Sematary was not a particulary good film, but the book was good (and was written by Stephen King).
Pet Sematary 2 was written by a screenwriter as the studio tried to cash in on the name, just about like Jaws 2 (but lacked the cast of the original).
Acting might have been bad, but it's also likely they just didn't have much to work with.
