a kid in North Texas, Jacob Rodriguez, who quarterbacks Rider Senior High School...produced J.T. Barrett and David Nelson. Young man just completed his sophomore season and led Rider to 5 IIA semifinals. Looks to be 6'2"ish, 190 lbs. Reminds me of a Dak Prescott type.

Has twin brothers who are seniors, that played defense but are too small for SEC play.

Jacob just might be worth a look and plays baseball, too.

tia

Am certainly NO insider!!!!

High caliber kid from high caliber family

I’m sure Ohio St is all over him. “Pak”Prescott was a TE recruit under Miles........

Watched his tape. I can definitely see potential. I would agree to keep an eye on him. I think he needs more exposure since there’s barely anything online covering him recruiting wise. Camps would be a great opportunity to create some buzz, if he hasn’t already started going to them.

Wasn't Miss St. the only big school that recruited him as a QB? I seem to remember reading most schools recruited him as a TE which is part of the reason he went to Starkville.

Edit: and as far as I can tell LSU and Miss St. were his only 2 offers: he was ranked 601 overall, the 20th ranked dual threat QB, and the 19th ranked LA player.

Not hating here but how does 6’2 190 remind you of a dak Prescott type when he is 6’4 230?

Style/manner of play.

As to size, Dak is a grown man. This youngster is a hs sophomore and odds he will continue to physically mature.

He's only a sophomore. It's not unreasonably to think he could be 6'3"-6'4" and 220lbs when he graduates.

In Les' defense, Dak would have made a damn strong H-back that we never threw too.
