Will entire 610 loop of Houston eventually be gentrified?

The east side of town has a ton of room for growth. With the younger generations wanting to be closer to city center it seems like this area is due for an upgrade. Did this area flood during Harvey? Would this be possible or just a pipe dream?

Is this what we are calling people in the masters program at UH now?

Probable, but will take another generation (25 years) to complete. Washington Avenue/Heights and Midtown took about this long to mostly turnover.

Actually gentrifying the third ward and fifth ward is going to take forever, and there could easily be a demographic/interest shift in that time.
I would say no.

I lived in EADO for 5 years. There’s been some growth, but it’s just too hard to push the less desirable population out. That, and the city refuses to do anything about the out of control homeless population.

From my time in EaDo, a lot of the businesses clinging on over there are a problem. Not too many people want to move in between the pipe yard and the bus repair shop working 24/7.

Gentrification is just code for white supremacy. Asking this question makes you a racist and deserve to lose your job, your loved ones, and be eshamed for all eternity.
